An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.5 hit north central Japan on Monday, media reports claimed. The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami warning along the coastal regions of Ishikawa, Niigata and Toyama prefectures, news agency Reuters reported.
